1-day WILDERNESS tour + “rafting”  in inflatable canoes

As described in 2-days Midnight sun  tour. Approx 09.00-16.00. After  lunch we go back by boat.

2-days tour overnight in  lappish hut “rafting” in inflatable canoes

Approx 9.00 car-transfer from your hostel/hotel in Kiruna to Kurravaara and the Rautas river 20 minutes away. Here you start your canoeing for 10 km. down Rautas river and rapids. These are easy rapids grade 1-2. You will pass the Rautas delta “Lapplands Amazonas”. There are no roads in this region and you might see wild animals and birds such as eagles. On arrival at camp Vakkakoski you can enjoy a wooden-heated sauna. You get lunch; reindeer-meet, potatoes, bread, and then coffee and cake, in our Lappish wilderness-cabin, made the old, traditional way. Vegetarian food is possible if told before. After lunch you can enjoy a peaceful day in nature, do activities as fishing, shopping firewood, or just relax at the campfire. You can do some hiking upstream Torne river along the 3km long rapid up to lake Alajaure. You can rent canoes to explore the creeks down stream Torne river. After dinner you can enjoy a wooden-heated sauna. In the lappish hut you will sleep comfortably on reindeer-furs in sleeping bag. After lunch we go by boat through the beautiful landscape back to Kurravaara.
